Honest Questions

Before You Step In

The questions we are most often asked. If yours is not here, write to us.

What if I have never done this before? +

You belong here. Most people who walk through our door have never done this kind of work before.

You do not need to be on a spiritual path. You do not need to have read certain books or done certain practices. You do not need to know what tantra means. You only need a willingness to feel what is real, and the courage to do that in a held space.

Every temple is designed to welcome the first-time traveller alongside the returning practitioner. The instructions are clear. The pace is gentle. Nothing surprising happens without preparation. You will be guided through every step, and you are always free to say no.

If you are nervous, that is the right feeling. Nervous means it matters.

What actually happens in a temple? +

A temple is approximately three to four hours. Here is the shape of an evening:

Arrival. You enter a beautiful space prepared for you. Candles, soft light, music. You are welcomed by name. You leave your shoes at the door and find a place in the circle.

Opening Circle. We begin with grounding, with breath, with a few words each. We set the intention together. The facilitators introduce themselves and the practices of the evening. Consent, choice, and pace are explained clearly. Questions are welcomed.

Practices. Through breath, voice, movement, gaze, and presence, we move together through guided exercises. Some practices you do alone, some with one other person, some with the whole room. Every practice is invitational. You can always sit out, pause, or leave the room.

Integration. We slow down. We rest. There is space for what arose to settle. We close the circle and step back into the world together.

There is no nudity required. There is no sexual contact. There is no pressure to do anything you do not choose to do.

Who is this for? +

Adults of any gender, orientation, relationship structure, or experience level who feel the call. You do not need to be on a spiritual path. You do not need previous practice. You only need a genuine willingness to meet what is alive in you, and the readiness to do that in the company of others doing the same.

How does consent work here? +

Consent is the ground we stand on. Before any practice begins, you are oriented to the language and gestures of yes, no, and not now. Nothing is done to you. Every invitation is exactly that, an invitation. Saying no, leaving the room, sitting out a practice, are all honoured choices. The right to your own body is non-negotiable.

Do I need to come with a partner? +

No. Most people come alone. Some come with a partner, some come with a friend. Whatever you choose is welcomed. If you arrive with a partner, you are not obligated to practice only with them. If you arrive alone, you are not obligated to practice with anyone at all.

Is this sexual? +

Yes, and we want to be honest with you about exactly what that means, because every container holds a different intensity. Read this carefully.

Royal Temples (single evenings). Sexual energy is the heart of the work, the life force we are learning to feel, hold, and channel. You will move, breathe, voice sound, meet eyes, and feel the charge that lives in your own body. Dress code is comfortable clothing you can move in. There is a free flow portion of the evening where you may choose, with explicit consent, to undress to underwear and engage in conscious touch with another participant. No penetration. No sexual acts. You can opt out of any part of any practice at any moment, and many do. The work is the felt sense of aliveness, not performance.

The Arc (six-month cohort). The Arc goes deeper than a single temple. Across the six temples, you will work with desire, expression, polarity, and erotic embodiment in a held container with the same people. Like the temples, the practice happens in underwear during free flow, with no penetration. Because you walk this with the same cohort for six months, the depth of trust and erotic exploration available is significantly greater than in a single evening.

Retreats. Each retreat is different. The Embodied Leadership retreat works with presence and somatic practice, no sexual content. Heart Wide Open works with the heart — tenderness, healing, reconnection — no sexual content. Reclaim Your Eros does include deeper erotic practice in carefully held containers, with the same boundaries as the Arc: underwear, no penetration, full consent at every step. The Island Retreat in Ko Phangan is a deeper container that integrates the work over a full week. Each retreat description tells you exactly what to expect before you book.

House of Desires. A separate world, with its own consent threshold. House of Desires explores consensual erotic energy, polarity, play, and what unfolds between adults who have explicitly chosen to step further. Different boundaries apply there, and they are spelled out before any event.

If you are uncertain which container is right for you, write to us. We will tell you the truth.

What should I wear? +

Clothing you can move freely in and feel beautiful in. Comfortable, breathable, in colours and textures that feel like you. Many people choose loose layers, something soft to be in, something elegant to arrive in. Bare feet are welcomed in the temple space.

You do not need to dress sensually or revealingly. You do need to dress in something you actually want to be wearing, not something that hides you.

Will I be pushed beyond my limits? +

No. The temple is built on the opposite principle.

You will be invited to meet your edge, the place where what is alive in you wants to come forward but a part of you is unsure. The work happens at that edge, not past it. Crossing the line into your own truth is your choice, made in your own time, at your own pace.

The facilitators are trained to read the room, to slow when needed, to offer alternatives, and to respect the body's wisdom over any program. If you need to stop, sit out, leave the room, or simply observe, those are all honoured choices.

Should I begin with a temple or the Arc? +

If you are uncertain whether this work is for you, begin with a single Royal Temple. One evening will tell you more than any description can. If you already feel the call and are ready for the deeper journey, the Arc is where the transformation lives. Many people walk one or two temples first and then choose the Arc.

What is House of Desires? +

House of Desires is the sister label of House of Royal Hearts.

Royal Hearts is the work. House of Desires is the world that work makes possible.

Here, the inner work becomes a living experience. A world of conscious sensuality, ceremonial gatherings, and masked celebrations where desires are unveiled, embodied, and brought to life.

It is not for everyone, nor is it meant to be.

For those who feel called, the journey begins on February 14, 2027, with Ignition.

Where desire becomes reality.

What if I need to step back? +

Life happens. Bodies change. Hearts shift. If you need to miss a temple during the Arc, we will hold space for your return. If you need to leave the journey entirely, we will honour that decision without judgement. This work is meant to serve your life, not the other way around.

The World We Are Building

Desires we bring to life

Not abstractions. Specific rooms. Specific moments. The world we are making, in concrete form.

I

A room where looking is not a transgression

Fifty people in candlelight. Slow music. Long, held eye contact between strangers and lovers alike, with no one pretending it isn't happening. The relief of finally being allowed to see and be seen, without apology, without performance, without the social fiction that we are not bodies in a room together.

II

An evening where desire is spoken out loud

A circle, intimate, masks on. One by one, voices name what has been held private for years. Not as confession. As ceremony. The room receives each desire without judgement, without pity, without the rush to fix or to fulfil. To say it aloud, with witnesses, is the beginning of letting it live.

III

A masquerade where the mask sets you free

A great hall. Strings, smoke, low gold light. Behind your mask you are no longer the role you arrived in. You are the part of you that has been waiting for an evening like this. Dance, conversation, slow approach and slow retreat. Consent is asked in full sentences. Every choice is held.

IV

A space where the erotic is sacred again

Breath, voice, slow movement. The body remembering it was holy before anyone told it otherwise. The pleasure of arousal without urgency, without destination, without anyone watching for what comes next. Desire as a current to be felt, not a problem to be solved.

V

An ending where no one rushes back

After the music slows. Tea. Silence. Soft blankets. People sitting close, not speaking, knowing what they have just been part of. The slow return to the world outside, with the door of the room still open inside them. The understanding that this happened, and that the next one is coming.

VI
A desire I carry — Evelien

A bed raised like an altar

A bed lifted high in a candlelit room. Two bodies above, in sacred union, held by the attention of those gathered below. Not watched. Adored. The witnesses do not consume; they bless. The lovers do not perform; they receive. Eros as iconography. Pleasure as ceremony. The oldest reverence remembered.

This is a room I am building. The desire to be seen this fully — and to see another this fully — is one of the truest desires I carry. House of Desires is the place I am making it possible.

From the Other Side of the Door

A few true things

We have not asked anyone to write about what happens here. Some things ask for silence after, not words. Until those words come, what is true is this.

This is not a club. It is not a party. It is a room held with the same care as the temples, with one difference: here, the door opens further.
— The Heartcore
Every threshold is consent. Every choice is yours. Nothing happens that has not been chosen, by you, in the moment, with full breath.
— The Heartcore
If you have been hiding the part of yourself that wants this — you can stop hiding it here. That is what the room is for.
— The Heartcore
If any of these are true
  • If you have walked the inner work and want a room where the body finally gets to walk too —
  • If you have been keeping a part of yourself private even from yourself, and you suspect it is the most alive part —
  • If you have looked for this kind of gathering and only found rooms that were either too cold or too crass —
  • If you are tired of pretending desire is not running the deepest currents of your life —

— this is the door you have been looking for.
